Sherri Hill Prom Dresses 2019

Watch to see the looks from Sherri Hill's 2019 Prom Dress collection at New York Fashion Week.

Sherri Hill Prom Dresses

Sherri Hill prom dresses packed in all the glam at her New York Fashion Week Show.  She started off with the show with a variety of mini-dresses with a pink sequined body suit added for good measure and white jumpsuit with ruffled sleeves just to remind us that jumpsuits still exist. To keep us engrossed, the initial looks were paired with white 80’s pointy white ankle boots with a kitten heel.

The Glam Down – Upscale Boho Chic

Just as we got excited for all the mini-dresses that we could see ourselves in for the homecoming 2019 dance–in our dreams nonetheless, Sherri Hill glams it down by introducing us to upscale boho chic, 70s inspired retro fashion.   Still not sure how we feel about getting our formal wear fashion fix interrupted as the switch was definitely a lull in the show.

Celebrity or a Look-a-like?

There was one bright spot here and that was that at 3:58, a model, in a turquoise, two-piece, floor length, ruffled skirt appeared looking every bit like Audrey Hepburn.  We thought we were seeing things.

Our suspicions were confirmed when at 7:48, the Audrey Hepburn look alike reappeared on the runway, this time, in a fuchsia gown, with a strapless sweetheart neckline, built-in belt, and scarf turned choker.  One viewer remarked,

“I swear at 7:58 Audrey Hepburn has been reincarnated.”

Another viewer replied,

“She was definitely giving me Audrey Hepburn & Marilyn Monroe vibes.  The short bob combined with a variation on Monroe’s Diamonds are a girl’s best friend?? Lol I died”.

Models and Beauty Queens

Once the evening wear looks reappeared, the pace of the show picked up.  Catriona Gray, Miss Universe Philippines 2018 made two appearances on the runway, the first at 7:18 where she debuted in a beaded coral sheath gown, with plunging v neckline with halter, and belted, layered over skirt.  She then graced the runway again, this time in a buttercup colored gown with beaded bodice, attached chiffon cape, and chiffon skirt.

Best Sherri Hill Prom Dresses by Viewer’s Choice

It’s hard to choose a fave but viewer’s choice seemed to narrow it down to three:

“12:15 is my love dress and I hope my prom dress”

At 12:15 we find a silver mini, deep v neckline with spaghetti straps and lots of fringes that shimmy as the model glides down the runway.

“13:31 OMG!!! So elegant!”

At 13:38, we find a one-shoulder beaded fuschia, number with floor-length fern appliques.

“the dress at 9:19…wow”

We find at 9:19, a metallic stunner in silver.  With a high-neck, long sleeves, back and side cut outs, barely there train, and a futuristic sensibility, we find this dress to the standout look from the show.

  1. Sometimes I wish prom dresses looked like this amazing back in 2001. My senior year all I wanted was to look like a princess, young ladies today have zero idea how lucky they are!
