What Do the Dead Have to Do with Quinceanera?

Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead is a holiday celebrated in Mexico and by people of Mexican decent living in the United States.  The holiday is a way to celebrate ancestors similar to a memorial service.

While Dia de los Muertos is a holiday on its own, it can be incorporated as a theme in a Quinceanera, Sweet 15, celebration.

One way to incorporate it is in your dress as is beautifully illustrated in this Quinceanera gown by Pink Horse.
